Hi, I'm Jordan!
I am Jordan Mixon, owner of The Southern Organization Company. I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and currently reside in Hayesville. I love to travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends. I have 8 years of experience in the home staging and interior decorating world. I also currently serve on the Murphy Business Association Board.
I am a professional organizer, relocation expert, decorator, business owner, toddler wrangler to my sweet Preslee, and wife to Zach. As you can see from that list of titles, I am no stranger to juggling! Juggling the responsibilities of being a working mom, wife, friend, board member, and business owner all while maintaining a home that I look forward to relaxing in at the end of the day.
As we navigate different seasons in our lives such as having a new baby, moving to a new town, experiencing an illness, it is so easy for chaos to quickly take over our homes. I empathize with the enormous stress that clutter and disorganization can create in your home. I experienced it personally during several difficult seasons in my own life, which is exactly why I started this business. The simple acts of decluttering and organizing my spaces lowered stress and anxiety, restored balance, and increased joy in my life.
I want to use that personal experience to transform your space and your life. Countless studies have demonstrated that clutter has numerous negative effects on our well-being, including increasing our cortisol (a stress hormone) levels.
Our homes should be sanctuaries, places that feel peaceful, healthy, and safe, places we look forward to coming home to after a long day. I hope you will allow me to give you that kind of space. You deserve it.
